Two posts in one day? I know, I know, I am getting a little ambitious. However I couldn't help but acknowledge one of best friends and sisters in Christ on her birthday. Heather and I have kind of a funny relationship in my opinion being that I can never come to a decision on what to call her. Everyone significant in my life knows who she is yet I still cannot define our relationship.
Heather was my boss while I worked in the Lifetime Fitness Child Center for three years in high school and has been a constant source of encouragement and light. We grew close through the many day shifts I worked with the 'mom' employees of the center while all the other student workers were in school. The long and slow weekend hours were always proven to be a bonding experience and we had continual laughs at the quirks and 'darnest' things kids say :) Slowly the title of her being my boss started to sift away and a natural friendship blossomed.
I have since moved on from Lifetime yet Heather has not moved on from me. She continues to be one of my number one supporters in all aspects of life and is my go-to 'second mom.' Her and Bobby (her husband) have welcomed me into their family with the open arms of Christ and uplift me each day even with just the thought of them. She inspires me as a friend, mother, believer, and woman of God and the Lord has truly blessed me with Heather. I was incredibly blessed to nanny her four children over Christmas break as well as enjoy several meals, conversations, and much laughter with them. Jacob was also finally able to meet them for the first time and get to know them which was such a joy for me :)
Happy Birthday Heather, you are loved :)Labels: birthday, blessings, friendship, Jacob, kids, Nanny
