Spring is in the Air

Hello dearest friends, I apologize for the slowness in blogging world. Spring is in the air which just so happens to be tied for my favorite season (summer is hard to beat). Maybe it's the hope that this crazy semester will soon come to a close, or the absolute beauty I find in blooming flowers, or the laughter and joy that arises out of winter blues that makes spring so valuable to me.

These likely all add up however I think there is something far more valuable that strikes a cord with this season. The promise that we, as believers are made new. The old is gone the new has come. We are fresh and remade. Just like the the blooming flowers of the field and growing green grass of the spring season.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation." -2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as visible in the recent Easter season, we have been given a ministry of reconciliation to be carried out with our new and fresh Holy Spirit filled bodies.

Below are some pictures of the beginning of my spring season. A time I have found refreshment through the little things.

Jacob and I am Lake Okoboji
Giraffes at the Como Zoo
Yummy Apples for Fruit Salad
My Sister Leah and I
Celebrating Jacob's 20th Birthday (yes with a 1/2 eaten cake)
I challenge you to take a few minutes today to become fresh. Whatever that looks like for you, refresh yourselves in the presence and power of our Lord Jesus Christ, Son of Man, and King of Kings and enjoy your spring season.
