Calling out to all those who love to save money...
Ask my mother and she can attest to the fact that I have always been a frugal child trying to save everything from cheerios to pennies to those coupons from the automated machines at grocery stores that my sister and I would collect (worth so much to a 4 year old, huh?). Well, some things never change and this summer I have loved practicing stewardship through seeking out deals, clipping many coupons, and perusing weekly specials.
If you're like me all this talk gets kind of exciting, so today I am delighted to share with you some of the best deals I've gotten and how you can get them too.

Quite possibly my favorite discovery I wish I knew about five years ago is the Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store student discount card. It is free to sign up for and any high school or college student is eligible with proof of a student ID or acceptance letter. With signing up you will receive two coupons, 40% off one piece of fabric and 40% off one regular-priced item as well as a student discount card that provides 10% your total purchase every time you shop.
While on the topic of Jo-Ann, their weekly coupons are also spot on with savings. For example, this week they are having coupon commotion with their mailings packed with coupons for 50% off a large variety of items. They have 6 of these coupons available for printing, if you're interested click here to claim the great deals. If you get the mailings, a sneaky trick is to make sure you look through the whole brochure as they like to hide coupons in the middle pages. They tend to send out their coupons several weeks in advance so be sure to save up. Another specified deal this month through the 31st is college student discount days. Save 20% off your total purchase with presenting a valid student ID. This includes regular, sale, and clearance items.
Now unto Target, the store of everything in my eyes. There are two methods to my madness when it comes to finding great deals here. First, their website is loaded with printable coupons that usually expire within one week to a month out and it is updated on a weekly basis. These coupons range in items from clothing, produce, cosmetics, and personal care goods. Secondly, there are typically additional coupons printed out with the receipt, especially when groceries are purchased. Be on the look out for them as they can sometimes be left in the bag or thrown out with a receipt.
Who doesn't love a good movie? Redbox has provided several codes to the general public for free movie rentals. They usually only work once per credit or debit card you use. Specifications are in parenthesis.

Got a hot dinner date coming up? Go to Chili's and get a free chips and queso. Unfortunately I'm lactose intolerant so this isn't too appealing to me but I hope you'll enjoy this deal for me :) Sign up for their
e-mail club and automatically receive this coupon as well as more discounts and offers they send to your email.
This one is also quite ironic being that I'm bald yet it's a great offer for those of you with kids. Free back to school haircuts for kids (k-6th grade) in August at JcPenney's salon. Offer is good through appointment only so call soon.
I stumbled upon this deal two years ago when a group of friends and I just happen to go here on National Cheesecake Day and receive half-priced cheese cake slices. So mark your calendars for July 30th and head to your nearest Cheesecake Factory for a yummy dessert.
Michael's is another craft store I have great luck with when it comes to seeking deals. With every transaction, a 40% off one regular-priced coupon is printed with the receipt. If that's not a big enough incentive, signing up for their email list earns you a 25% off your entire purchase coupon including all sale and clearance items
and you'll receive new and updated coupons about two times a week to your email that you can print out.
Social media is taking a whole new turn with advertising produced through friends. I have been somewhat skeptical but this one was too good to pass up. Go onto facebook and 'like' Genghis Grill. You will then receive a print out coupon for a free appetizer. If you want to go above and beyond, share this offer to your wall. If five friends 'like' Genghis Grill you will then receive a free bowl entree and your friends will go through the same process you did. Pretty great, right?
Good through July 31st, beat the summer heat with this offer for buy one get one free any size McCafe Real Fruit Smoothie, Cherry Berry Chiller, Frappe, or Frozen Strawberry Lemonade and get one free of equal or lesser value. Go to this link, type in your name and print out. Rumor has it the coupon must be in color for it to be acceptable.
Well friends that's all I have for now. I hope you found at least one deal to be helpful :) Have fun saving money and enjoying greatness :) Have a wonderful week.
