Today I am so honored to share with you a huge blessing I have received today. A few weeks ago I came across an organization called Good Wishes. Their mission is to provide free of charge, one beautiful It's a Wrap or Good Wishes Scarf to anyone experiencing the thinning or loss of hair as a result of illness or treatment. Their goal is to in some small way ease their journey, provide a small bit of comfort and share the power of positive thinking and good wishes with these individuals on their path to healing and recovery. Each scarf is a gift of hope that carries with it the support and good wishes of their staff and represents the strength and dignity of those who wear it. I simply signed up, verified my medical condition, and then got to choose from a large variety of colors, patterns, and textures for my personalized scarf. Three weeks later it arrived in the mail and oh what a blessing it was.

The Good Wishes Office-for every person they serve they put up a sticky note with that woman's name, condition, and location :) |
Lately I have been discouraged by the ever prominent evil and bad in the world. With the local murder of three little girls, the Aurora movie theater shooting, and the day in and day out vanity of those not following the Lord. Yet today I was reminded of the goodness that shines light through the darkness. This humble organization spent time personally thinking of me and my condition, signing cards for me, making a head scarf, and sending me good wishes. And the thing is they do this for hundreds upon hundreds of women. This is so beautiful to me and has changed my perspective to focus on the little ways everyday people are working to spread joy.
If you or someone you know is struggling with hair loss, please look into this organization. Or if you feel so compelled, donate financially or through prayer to support and encourage this amazing ministry.
