I love the cooler weather, apple cider, warm sweaters, baking, and beautiful colors that this autumn season delivers. It's a time of reflection and natural beauty. To welcome in the wonderful fall season this weekend I did lots of baking. This is one of the yummiest foods I have ever made so get excited, here is the recipe to apple cinnamon bread.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1.5 cups of diced apples
- 1.5 cups of flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional yet very yummy)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Combine the oil, eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
3. In a different bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
4. Add oil mixture to the dry ingredients gradually.
5. Add the chopped apples and nuts.
6. Grease up a regular loaf pan and add the mixture. Bake for about 1 hour, checking with a tooth pick to see when it is done.
7. For an optional cinnamon sugar topping, combing 2 T. of sugar and 1 T. of cinnamon and then sprinkle over the top once out of the oven.
