It seems to be an unwritten standard that one should most definitely go on a road trip at some point in their college lifetime. So what are these three hooligans going to do about it?
Go on a road trip of course over spring break! Take a look at our loose and ambiguous route..
.. know anything along the way? Have any places that we need to stop? What is your favorite little known places along the way? Is there something that we have to do? Please comment below and give these three idealistic college ladies some direction to their craziness.
A road trip with your best friends sounds like a blast! Almost makes me with I was back in college!
ReplyDeleteI just happened upon your blog and I'm so glad I did! You have such a beautiful space here :)
On your way back, take a different route! Hit up Rapid City & the Black Hills in South Dakota. We have a floor ya'll can crash on as well.
ReplyDeleteOn the way back you should hit up Estes Park and the Rockies (RMNP). Van Wyhe vacation spot :)
ReplyDeleteKeep driving WEST!! Come visit Salt Lake City!
ReplyDeleteBut if you really need to stick to Denver I second that you MUST go to Estes Park. They have an enchanting downtown area that caters to tourists - cute coffee shops to funky Estes park t-shirts :) But you really need to go on some hikes in Rocky Mtn National Park. Bear Lake hike is super short(1 mi round trip) but you can keep going on the trail - I remember liking Emerald Lake - and make it a 3 mile hike or more!
Hope you create many fun memories together!
We drove out there in Sept when we went to the IVF clinic in Denver. Nebraska is BORING!!! There is literally nothing to stop for, at least nothing that we knew about.
ReplyDeleteIn CO we went to Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, Red Rocks.... all recommendations.... but FYI, use a credit card if you have one... I think someone at the royal gorge stole my credit card number and tried to make an online purchase. Thankfully the credit card company called about it.
Colorado has a special place in our heart.... I miss it there!
Colorado Springs - GREAT destination (I live here). Well, looking at your map, it looks like you will be driving through a lot of what we like to call "Kansas" which is just really open fields! you won't see the mountains until you get to Denver but that is kind of exciting because you watch the mountains grow bigger the closer you get!
ReplyDeleteI have PLENTY of things for you to do once you get to the Springs. I do love my town :)
And it also looks like you drive though Omaha which I hear has a pretty great zooo BUT here in the SPrings we have a zoo on Cheyenne Mountain and the exhibits are really interactive and beautiful. and I am not making that up. http://www.cmzoo.org/
Anyways, I will be more than willing to give you pages of places in the SPrings. Maybe we can even meet for coffee at one of my favorite places! I would love that :)
My house????? PLEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE!!!! :)
