Last week's feedburner blew up with news of Google's decision to shut down their RSS feed. I'll be honest, my heart sunk a bit and I had a mild crisis of oh my goodness there goes all my loyal readers.
After taking a few deep breaths, making a cup of tea, and sitting down to figure this whole thing out I realized that it really is not as big of a deal as it is made out to seem.
So let's get the facts straight so we are all on the same page..
- Google is saying goodbye to their RSS feed in July, GFC (google friend connect) will, I repeat will, still exist.
- The GFC widget will not be affected, at least for now.
- This means if you read my blog through Google's RSS feed you should probably consider bookmarking my page, subscribing via email, or follow me on bloglovin' to keep up with the happenings of my life.
Bloglovin' is growing on me as a wonderful way to follow my favorite blogs in one concise place. You can add the blogs you want to follow and every time you go to it you can read updates right from them in the here and now. No more clicking between multiple pages, searching for the latest update, or being days behind in blogosphere.
Let's keep in touch, I don't want to lose our friendship! Follow me on GFC, Bloglovin', or subscribe via email.
