I am a wife, sister, daughter, friend, nurse, blogger, crafter, adventurer, and more. I blog over at Mr. & Mrs. Toews. Recently my hubby & I moved back home to the Black Hills of South Dakota. We like to help actors solve crimes on TV shows like Psych and Monk. We also find ourselves trying out new recipes quite often, but revert back to spaghetti at least once a week. I love how my nursing jobs allow me lots of time off to crochet, read, go on coffee dates, and take walks around town.
How did you begin crocheting?
My mother first taught me to crochet when I was a kid. She had to repeat her lessons several times throughout the years. In high school I joined a group of my friends in a crochet & knitting club where we met once a week and worked on projects. Then all I could make was simple scarves and dish rags. Then in college for a service project, my RA taught me how to crochet hats. We made lots and lots of them. Whipped them out like crazy to deliver to a pediatric cancer hospital. Since then I have been teaching friends how to crochet. I have made hats, scarves, blankets, and stuffed animals.
Favorite item in your shop?
I am loving to try new things, that is why I love the giraffe stuffed animal. I don't have these in stock right now, but they are made to order if you want one.
How has the Lord been working in your life?
This year it seems like a theme for me has been 'forward.' God is teaching me what it means to move forward. Forward in my career, with my family, with my blog, crocheting, and forward with my spirituality. Although I do fall behind and remain stagnant, God is always there moving with me.
