Week's End Wrap-Up

MOMENTS:
1. My mother-in-law has thee most beautiful garden. Their home overlooks a pond and is overflowing with all sorts of greens and flowers. This week we caught a little raccoon that kept climbing up the bird feeder. He was so cute, but a pesky little guy!

2. I am making a list of all the plants I want for our new apartment. Unfortunately, my container veggie garden was sacrificed in our move from Iowa. It was pretty devastating, but I am looking forward to adding lots of house plants to brighten up our small space.

3. Summer calls for fresh everything, including fruits and veggies. This salad is one of the simplest ways to eat healthy and enjoy seasonal foods. Throw together some spinach, romaine lettuce, fresh strawberries, blueberries, nuts and top it off with a bit of raspberry vinaigrette. Hello yum!

4. Speaking of fresh fruit, we went strawberry picking this weekend! It was an absolute blast and the most perfect weather to be outside. We picked a wopping 27 pounds of strawberry and made an enormous amount of jam. We joked about starting our own business.
